Russ Kennedy and Chad Thibodeau will Share Strategies for Managing Big Data Media Content And Utilizing the Cloud for Archiving and Long-Term Data Preservation

Senior company executives will present at the upcoming Storage Visions 2012 Conference held January 8 to 9, 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada and the Green Data Center Conference held January 31 to February 2, 2012 in San Diego, California.
The Storage Visions 2012 Conference brings industry leaders, manufacturers and end-users together to discuss the convergence of digital storage, content creation and delivery. Russ Kennedy, Vice President of Product Strategy, Marketing and Customer Solutions for Cleversafe Inc. will present, "The Journey to a Picture Perfect Data Storage System – Managing Big Data Media Content." Kennedy will speak as a panel participant on this year's conference theme, "Heavy Storage for Thin Clients," and address the challenges associated with the growth of unstructured data, particularly in the form of digital content, as well as the new business opportunities for breakthrough technologies such as Dispersed Storage solutions that can meet big data requirements.

Chad Thibodeau, Director of Product Management & Alliances for Cleversafe, and co-chair of the Cloud Archive and Preservation Special Interest Group (SIG), will present at the Green Data Center conference on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. The Green Data Center Conference invites IT managers and industry experts to discuss trends and innovations in Green IT and sustainability practices in the data center.
Chad Thibodeau will lead a presentation entitled, "Cloud Archive and Long Term Preservation Challenges and Best Practices." Thibodeau's session, which is part of the "Storage and Big Data in the Data Center" track, explores common concerns when moving to the Cloud, and addresses the question of how companies can successfully utilize the Cloud for archiving and long-term data preservation. Thibodeau will be joined by Sebastian Zangaro, R&D Architect, Office of Strategy and Technology at HP.
