Accesser
Overview
The dsNet Accesser acts as a dispersed storage router, dividing data into a user-defined number of slices using Information Dispersal Algorithms (IDAs). Slices are then distributed to dsNet Slicestors for storage.
Reliable and secure Information Dispersal Algorithms (IDAs).
The Accesser utilizes Information Dispersal Algorithm to split data into slices in such a way that data can be bit-perfectly reconstructed without all the slices. And, it’s a more secure way of storing data, because the slices, in and of themselves, can’t yield usable information for hackers.
Easy to implement iSCSI protocol.
iSCSI allows clients to send commands to SCSI storage devices on remote servers. Our software acts like a remote SCSI storage device allowing users to transparently store and retrieve files as if they were using a local hard drive. Using our dispersed storage router is better than using Fiber Channel, which requires special-purpose cabling. And, iSCSI can be run over long distances using an existing network infrastructure.
Using Cleversafe’s iSCSI interface makes setting up, using and managing the Cleversafe dsNet easy. What’s more, dsNet’s capacity, width and threshold are completely user configurable, so you can take charge of your storage and archiving needs.
dsNets can be accessed in numerous ways. Today we offer an iSCSI and a block interface, soon to come updates support FTP, NFS, CIFS (SMB) and webDAV, making your data universally accessible to any application you might conceive for it.
Lower bandwidth requirements
With Cleversafe’s Accesser, we’ve addressed the challenges of high storage overheads and bandwidth requirements by changing the very way data is stored. Ask us about our dispersed storage router.
Guaranteed storage integrity.
Through Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) for data and Signature Based algorithm for sliced data, our dispersed storage router guarantees data integrity—ensuring that data never is corrupted.
